Budgenza Privacy Policy
Budgenza (“Budgenza,” “we,” “us”) provides a personal finance and expense‑tracking application and related services (the “Service”). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and protect information when you use the Service.
If you do not agree with this Privacy Policy, do not use the Service.
1) Information we collect
A. Information you provide
- Account information: email, password, and profile details you choose to add (such as name).
- Financial entries you create: expenses, income, subscriptions, projects, accounts, transfers, payment records, notes, categories, dates, and amounts.
- Receipt images (optional): if you upload receipt photos, we store them to display with the related expense.
- Group expense sharing content: groups you create/join, shared expenses, settlements, and balances visible to group members.
- Support communications: messages you send to support and any information you include.
B. Information collected automatically
- Device and app data: device model, OS version, app version, language, and time zone.
- Usage and diagnostics data: basic analytics and crash/performance diagnostics to improve reliability and security.
- Push notification identifiers: device push token(s) to deliver reminders and alerts you enable.
C. Biometric authentication (if enabled)
If your device supports biometrics and you enable it, biometric verification is handled by your device/OS. We do not receive or store your fingerprint or face data.
D. AI features (if enabled)
If you use AI‑powered insights (reports, summaries, and suggestions), we process relevant account and transaction data to generate those insights.
2) How we use information
- Provide and operate the Service (authentication, syncing, displaying your records, budgeting, reporting).
- Send notifications you choose (payment reminders and other alerts based on your settings).
- Generate insights (including AI features, if enabled) such as spending summaries and suggestions.
- Maintain safety and integrity (fraud prevention, debugging, enforcing terms, preventing abuse).
- Improve the Service (analytics, performance, troubleshooting, UX improvements).
- Comply with legal obligations and respond to lawful requests.
Accuracy of balances and calculations (estimates)
Budgenza may display calculated or inferred balances and summaries based on the information you enter and internal calculation methods. These values are estimates and may not match official statements. You are responsible for reviewing and updating your information to match your records.
3) How we share information
We do not sell your personal information. We may share information:
- With service providers: to operate the Service (hosting, databases, email delivery, push notifications, analytics, crash reporting).
- With other users you choose to share with: group expense sharing makes relevant items visible to group members.
- With app stores/payment processors: subscription purchases are handled by Apple/Google under their policies.
- For legal reasons: to comply with law or protect rights, safety, and security.
- Business transfers: if we’re involved in a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets.
4) Data retention
- We keep information as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Service.
- Some data may persist temporarily in backups or security logs.
- We delete or de‑identify information upon request unless retention is required by law or to enforce agreements.
5) Security
We use reasonable safeguards designed to protect your information. No system is perfectly secure and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
6) Your choices and controls
- You can add, edit, and delete financial records in the app.
- You can control notification preferences in settings.

8) Third‑party services and links
The Service may integrate with or link to third‑party services. Their privacy practices are governed by their own policies.
9) Children’s privacy
The Service is not intended for children under 13 (or a higher age where required). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
10) International data transfers
Your information may be transferred and processed in countries with different data protection laws depending on where you access the Service and where providers operate.
